What We Have Done

From September to October 2024, GenDigital collaborated with Yayasan Saluran Berkat Mandiri (YSBM) to teach underprivileged children living in the slum areas of West Jakarta.

To celebrate Indonesia’s 79th Independence Day, GenDigital was inspired to empower even more local communities with technology-related knowledge.

From March through to May of 2024, GenDigital Academy collaborated with Sahabat Anak, a child protection foundation run by volunteers. They advocate for the fulfillment of children’s rights, especially marginalized children, through many different ways.

GenDigital Academy had the delightful opportunity of teaching at Payon Citi Foundation. Dedicated to bridging social gaps, Payon Citi Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides education for underprivileged children and shares a similar vision with GenDigital Academy. 

GenD spent 2 whole weeks teaching children (grades 9-11) at ISCO Foundation about being good and well informed audiences and creators on the surface of online technology. Through this collaboration, GenD hopes to ensure that these young adults get to carry this knowledge with them as they grow to do outstanding things or even as they graduate to university and schools alike.

GenDigital agreed to collaborate with Sidomuncul, a well known traditional herbal medicine and pharmaceutical company. The goal of this collaboration? To promote digital awareness in 3 different programs in 3 different places.

Breaking Rekor Muri for most students taught simultaneously. In celebrating Indonesia's Independence Day, GenDigital Academy partnered with Indomobil Finance to liberate the nation's next generation from the lack of digital literacy.

Keep scrolling. Feels familiar right? GenDigital Academy partners with Friday Forum to discuss a crucial aspect in all of our lives -- how social media's algorithms work and how they are affecting our lives.

Teaching a group of 30 kids per batch, split between beginner and advanced classes about the fundamentals of programming using tools such as Scratch, robotics, and Virtual Reality.

An event intended to raise funds for GenDigital's future projects by attracting people who either are confident in their typing skills or simply seek to contribute to our cause.

This next WVI collab consists of four 90-minute sessions with over 120 students from Forum Anak Nusa Tenggara Timur, sharing knowledge about digital literacy, etiquette, security, and safety.

A project in which SSS, UCPRUK and GDA will aim to teach students with Cerebral Palsy on using Google Forms, Google Sheets, and writing formal emails to equip them with skills to generate revenue.

A project consisting of four 90-minute sessions with over 120 students from Forum Anak Kalimantan Barat. Here we shared knowledge about digital literacy, etiquette, security, and safety.

A collab in which both organizations arrange four 1 hour sessions for SD and SMP/SMA students, discussing a diverse range of topics related to technology, namely coding and technology affecting our future.

Hourly events in collaboration with various NGO partners, engaging children through hands-on activities such as Lightbot to expose them to technologies, while expanding GenDigital's reach in Indonesia.

A collaboration that curated a crash course to coding and a plethora of feed posts, discussing a variety of topics. Those of which typically consist an introduction to coding, digital security, and Python.

A partnership where GenDigital Academy creates videos accessible at Tokopedia Academy's official website. Our course aims to deliver a comprehensible introduction to coding and its applications.
